Choose the original
Use the original photograph or artwork where possible. Copies from messaging apps and social media are often smaller or more compressed.
Upload it
A strong source image and a careful preview give your personalised product the best possible start.
Before you upload
Use the original photograph or artwork where possible. Copies from messaging apps and social media are often smaller or more compressed.
Zoom in on faces, text and fine detail. If the file already looks blurred or blocky, printing cannot restore the missing detail.
Keep important faces, words and details away from the very edge. Product shapes and print areas may require some cropping.
File basics
JPG and PNG files are good starting points for most photographs and designs. A PNG can preserve transparency where the product editor supports it. Use a standard colour image and avoid unusual file types unless the product page says they are accepted.
For photographs, good lighting and clear focus matter more than filters. For artwork containing words or thin lines, check that every element remains readable in the on-screen preview.
Preview it
Read every personalised word, name and date carefully. We use the details you approve.
Make sure important parts of the image are visible and comfortably inside the printable area.
Check that wording stands out from the background. Remember that screens and printed materials reproduce colour differently.
Use it responsibly
Only upload photographs, artwork, wording and logos that you own or are authorised to reproduce. A picture being available online does not mean it is free to print. You are also responsible for having appropriate permission from people shown in private photographs.
We may decline or cancel content that appears to infringe someone else's rights or break our Acceptable Content policy.
